One of my stated goals for this blog is to form and state intelligent opinions before the rest of the blogosphere.

Today, I can claim a victory. Last week, I took Instapundit to task for blaming the recent declining popularity of Bush in polls as being the result of positions Bush took with which Instapundit disagrees. (Yah, I know Glenn Reynolds won't be reading my opinion, but I did, I did take Instapundit to task.)

Today, a full week and two days later, Powerline echos my post, warning against imposing one's own biases when analyzing popularity polls.

John and Paul (of Powerline fame, not the Beatles) also cop my point-of-view dependent explanation, that rising gas prices (and I would add, the apparent lack of effort to do anything about it) factors strongly in Bush's declining popularity.

Just remember, you read it here first.
